The 2026 World Cup starts on June 11, 2026 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City with the opening match by the host nation. The final is on July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium in the New York metropolitan area.
How many teams play?
48 national teams for the first time in World Cup history (up from 32). The 48 are split into 12 groups of 4 teams each (groups A through L). The top 2 from each group + the 8 best third-placed teams advance to a new Round of 32.
Who are the host nations of the 2026 World Cup?
United States, Mexico and Canada. It's the first World Cup co-hosted by three countries, played in 16 cities across the three host nations.
How are PRODE points calculated?
3-1-0 system per match:
- 3 points if you nail the exact score (e.g. predicted 2-1 and the match ended 2-1)
- 1 point if you get the result right but not the score (predicted 2-1, match ended 3-0 — both are home wins)
- 0 points if you missed the result
Extra bonuses:
- 10 pts if you pick the World Cup champion correctly
- 5 pts if you pick the runner-up correctly
- 3+2 pts per group where you nail the 1st and 2nd place (calculated automatically from your match predictions, no extra input required)

Until when can I submit my predictions?
Until the kickoff of each match. When the match starts, your prediction for that match is locked. Bonus picks (champion and runner-up) lock at the start of the first match of the tournament.
How do I invite my friends?
Create a private group from the leaderboard and we give you a shareable link + a 6-character code. Send it via WhatsApp with one click (direct "Share" button), your friends open the link and join the group automatically. Each group is invisible to the others.
Can I be in multiple groups at once?
Yes, you can be in as many groups as you want, no limit. Your predictions are unique: enter them once and they compete in every group you're in plus the global ranking.
What happens if I don't submit a prediction for a match?
No points for that match. It shows in your fixture marked as "No prediction · 0 pts" and you can keep submitting the others normally. If you only entered one number (e.g. home goal but not away), the system shows a red warning before kickoff so you don't miss it.
Can I edit my predictions?
Yes. Until the match kicks off you can change the score as many times as you want. After kickoff it locks. If you remember 5 minutes before the match, you're still in time.
Is there an app to download?
Nope. Works in any browser, on phone or desktop. If you want quick access you can add prode.ander.agency to your phone's home screen (works as a PWA).
